Jaguar XK150 DHC Drop Head Coupe 1958

99.000

Jaguar XK150 spectacular. With its powerful 6-cylinder 3.4 litre engine and 5-speed gearbox it is surprisingly fun to drive. The car has been restored and upgraded with no expense spared as the more than 120.000 eur in the invoice dossier proves. We recommend you to have a look at the complete dossier.

– Rack and pinion hydraulic power steering installed (greatly improves handling).
– Modern electronic ignition.
– Conversion of 2 x 6v batteries to 1 x 12v battery with internal disconnector.

History (same family owned since 1995)
– Car imported in 1995 from USA (original left hand drive). Invoice available for 12.800.000 pesetas (purchase and restoration).
– Invoices worth 50,000 eur since 2017 going over and upgrading virtually every element of the car.
Complete overhaul of the ignition , and new spark plugs , wires , electronic ignition tuning , valve adjustment by tablet and tightening of the cylinder head for better carburation . Added an electric fan and improved the cooling circuit with new cables, new radiator hoses, water pump and new heating circuit.
Fitted new exhaust manifolds and exhaust pipes.
Fitted a new 5 speed tremec gearbox.

Aluminium tank instead of the original one which was made of sheet metal to improve the accumulation of rust and dust and to protect the filters better. It is slightly lighter than the sheet metal one and a modification was made to the breather to improve the filling of petrol without spilling it at the end of the filling and to avoid overfilling (which was a danger at the petrol station).
Added a smith km counter clock in km instead of miles.
4 new Avon 185 R tyres which are more stable than the original two-tone tyres. These tube tyres are mounted on the original 5 inch wide stainless steel rims.
A Motolita steering wheel was fitted which has height adjustment and is smaller than the original because the hydraulic rack and pinion steering allowed it and it is better.

2019 complete overhaul carburation, new Sparkplugs Sparkplug NGKBPR655, overhaul oil filter, etc.
